Perfect days for Perfect hangout.

Different types of places to visit in Chennai

The title is all about the pongal holidays we are all in :). You are about to visit as many places as possible in the coming days. I’m here to tell about few exciting places you can visit in chennai.

First things that strikes our mind is the world’s second largest ocean obviously the Marina Beach. The perfect hangout spot in chennai where you can really have a good and memorable time with your friends and families. The attractive things there are the Dr. MGR ‘s tomb, statues of tamil historic heroes, Monuments of various leaders including Mahatma Gandhi, Subhash Chandra Bose and also kannagi statue. The famous labour statue can also seen there.

Besides from the Marina Beach few other beaches also located in chennai, they are Besant nagar beach, thiruvanmiyur beach, Covelong Beach etc.

Second comes the Theme parks, these places are filled with fun everywhere there are lots of amazing rides for all age groups. Entry fees are provided with discounts during public holidays here. But i won’t recommend these places for the senior citizens ;)

Next the Museum which is located in Pantheon road, Egmore. This place covers many categories including Art, Archaeology, Anthropology, Numismatics, Zoology, Botany, Geology, Chemical conservations the monuments kept here will be really eye catching. And one of the best place to go with childrens because this place welcomes them with unique museum for them. Likewise Dakshina Chitra Museum is an amazing place that is located 200 meter from MGM Dizzee world. This will be really a different experience for you.

The two famous parks in chennai named Guindy Snake Park and Children’s park that are located next to each other in Guindy, Chennai. I recommend this will be the only place for the childrens to have fun. Apart from the Children’s Park the snake park consists of various species like Snakes of different families and also Crocodiles of different kinds. The entry tickets are also very less to afford. Few Deers can also be seen there, do watch out for the deer crossing sign around that area.

If you are really fond of animals then Vandalur Zoo is the best place for you. This is the first Zoological Park mounted in India. It contains Amphibian house, Reptile house, Butterfly house, Lion safari etc. There won’t be scarcity for entertainment here. The management will arrange for cycles to hire at very low cost. Be sure to abide the rules posted inside the campus.

I have listed few major places to visit in chennai and also there are few other places that includes, Island ground in beach road, Muttukadu back water which is famous for water rides, VGP golden beach etc. For those who depends of MTC buses don’t worry about it Government will take care of it in arranging more buses as possible.  Where ever you go try to be safe and take care of your belongings.
